Membership Agreement - Terms & Conditions

Application for and Agreement of Membership in
THE BRITISH COLUMBIA HOTEL ASSOCIATION (Incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia)

The undersigned Applicant hereby applies for Membership in the British Columbia Hotel Association (the "Association") and HEREBY AGREES and UNDERTAKES to abide by and comply with the provisions of its Constitution and By-Laws.
The undersigned AGREES to pay as dues to the Association all applicable annual dues. Dues will be confirmed, in writing, annually upon the members anchor date and will be in force for twelve months.
The undersigned agrees that the information declared on the attached Member Snapshot is correct and accurate at the time of agreement.

Members are responsible for providing the association with any updates to business operations affecting dues calculations prior to their annual renewal date. Members are also required to advise of billing contact changes prior to their renewal date.

If a member enters a BCHA premier program where participation in the program is contingent on maintaining an active membership, the member must remain an active member until the program term of which they have entered has completed. This supersedes the term clause on page 2.

PAYMENTS

Members will pay their dues on an annual or monthly basis. Payment is due thirty days after receiving an invoice. Should any invoices not be paid within thirty days the Association reserves the right to add a late payment penalty and Member privileges may be suspended for non-payment.
Members will be notified in writing thirty days in advance if other dues, levies, assessments, and other monies required from time to time in accordance with the by-laws of the Association. All such monies shall be payable to the office of the Association.

CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP

This membership resides with the organization not with any one individual within said organization. The applicant may assign individuals to be the main points of contact for the purposes of communication with the Association. Should a member sell their business or transfer control of their business it is the member’s responsibility to inform the association, thirty days prior to the transaction. Should the member fail to inform the association of a change of ownership, the association may automatically transfer membership to the new party and that party will assume all liabilities associated with this agreement.
